History
Welcome to the history pages of the St Nicholas
website. On an on-going basis we will add content to illustrate, and
provide information of the life of the church, and it's congregation
since St Nicholas was dedicated on Friday 20th November 1908.

We Will Remember Them
Like many other congregations throughout the United Kingdom, the

From A Spark To A Flame
Wednesday
1st June 2011 was a significant day for us. It was then that we were
able to collect the final copies of From a Spark to a Flame from the
printer, thus bringing to an end our inspiring but truly humbling
journey through one hundred years of St Nicholas Parish Church. The
book is an expression of our deep gratitude to God, and is dedicated
to those who, in the beginning, ignited the flame, and also to those
who, during these hundred years, have kept it burning.
Many people, from the congregation and beyond, have contacted us in
a variety of ways to convey their thoughts on our publication. We
wish to express our sincere thanks for these messages, and want all
to know how much we appreciate them.
